As a consultant with Strategic Partners, Inc., Dana brings her analytical and strategic skills to the not-for-profit sector. She is an accomplished attorney with more than twenty years of legal experience as a prosecutor and civil litigator. She is admitted to both the Michigan and Massachusetts Bars. Dana began her legal career as Assistant District Attorney in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, and later moved to private practice in Boston specializing in insurance and business law. When she moved to the metro Detroit area, she continued to practice law with Birnkrant and Birnkrant, PC where she headed the litigation department. In 2004, she retired from the profession to spend more time volunteering in the community.

 Dana is an active volunteer and fundraiser for a variety of not-for-profit organizations. She has successfully spearheaded a variety of development initiatives including; Orchard’s Children’s Services Hat and Mitten Drive, Gleaners Community Food Bank of Southeastern Michigan’s Annual Fall Benefit, Fan Club for the Arts Artrageous Ball, and a variety of volunteer recruitment efforts. She is currently chair of Cranbrook Kingswood School’s Community Service Initiative. 

 In 2006, Dana joined the Board of Trustees of Jewish Vocational Service (JVS) and continues her volunteer work in the community.   Dana holds an A.B. from the University of Michigan. She earned her J.D. from Wayne State University.
